For Our Kids, For Our Schools, For Working Families.

No Millionaire Tax Breaks

No Cuts to Education & Child Care

Vote NO on I-645

Whether we get up at 4am to drive to work, spend hours every day planning math lessons to teach our kids, hustle 7 days a week to pay off an excavator loan, or provide hospice care to the neighborhood grandma, we work our a**es off.

Meanwhile, health care costs are going up, school programs are getting cut, and affordable child care feels like a pipe dream.

 Washington’s taxes are upside down.

At the end of the day, we carry public programs with our tax dollars: the roads, schools, hospitals, and health care we all rely on. Meanwhile, the ultra-rich don’t even notice their taxes leave their bank accounts.

Blue collar families and small businesses pay over 3 times more in taxes than millionaires do.

VOTE NO ON I-645

We pay 14% of our income in taxes, but the super-rich only pay 4% of theirs.

That ain’t right.

And now Washington’s millionaires want to pay even less, leaving us to keep schools open, hospitals running, and pot holes filled.

Brian Heywood, hedge fund manager and wannabe rancher from California, put I-645 on the ballot this November. This measure would REPEAL the Millionaires Tax, cutting billions of dollars from school funding, free lunch programs, childcare programs and more, and raising taxes on working families and small businesses.

If he can pay $1.5 million of his own money to try and get rid of the tax, he can afford to pay the damn tax.

The Millionaires Tax is a Win for Working Families

Working families fought for and won the Millionaires Tax in 2026 as a step to make Washington's taxes more fair. This is a tax on earnings of over $1 million per year. It would bring in billions for school funding, childcare, and health care, and cut taxes for working families and small businesses.

Look out for Billionaire Bull****

Brian Heywood and his billionaire buddies don’t want to pay their fair share like the rest of us. So they’ll tell all kinds of tall tales to scare us into giving them a tax break. Always investigate what you hear - if it smells like Billionaire Bull****, it’s probably Billionaire Bull****.  They’ll even slap on a pair of cowboy boots and a flannel shirt and try to tell us that they’re blue collar just like us.

Don’t let the boots fool you - they’ve never had a speck of dirt on them.

We’ve earned every calloused hand, every sore back, and every dirty boot that makes us blue collar.

For our kids, for our schools, for blue collar families, we are voting NO on I-645.

We can’t afford to pay millionaire’s taxes for them. When they pay less, we pay more.

So we are saying No Thanks! Millionaires Can Pay Their Own Taxes.

What Is The Millionaires Tax?

This year, working families from across Washington pushed lawmakers to pass a Millionaires Tax, a 9.9% tax on earnings of over $1 million per year.

That’s not “I saved up from running a log truck” kind of money, that’s “I have 4 homes, a private jet, and a Cybertruck” kind of money. Blue collar families WON that fight.

The Millionaires Tax will raise billions of dollars for schools, child care, and health care and provide the tax breaks that small businesses and working families need, putting money back in our pockets when it goes into effect in 2028.

That’s not small businesses that take in over $1 million per year, and it’s not people who sell a house for over $1 million. It’s not even people who make $1 million in five years.  We’re talking about people who report household yearly earnings of over $1 million. That’s more cash than most of us have seen in our lives.

While a multi-millionaire will barely notice it leave their bank account, the Millionaires Tax is a game changer for working families and small businesses across the state. It will raise billions of dollars for our schools, for childcare, for health care, and expand tax breaks for working families and small businesses.

How many people will have to pay it?

Less than the top 1% wealthiest people in the state. That ain’t you and me.

Most of these people live in King County.

What will happen if we vote to give millionaires a tax break?

Our taxes and costs go up. WE will have to PAY their taxes FOR THEM.

There will be billions of dollars in funding cuts to our kids’ public school programs, Apple Health, and child care. This would mean sky high health insurance costs getting higher, larger class sizes in our kids’ schools, eliminating free school breakfast and lunch programs for many children, and less 1-1 support for our kids.

We can’t afford a tax break for millionaires when blue collar families and the programs our kids deserve are struggling.

Tell Me More About Tax Breaks For Us…

This law provides the biggest tax break for small businesses in our state’s history. It means...

  • Businesses making less than $250,000 in gross receipts will not have to pay B&O taxes

  • B&O tax credits for businesses making up to $600,000 in gross receipts

  • 460,000 more families will be eligible for the Working Families Tax Credit

  • Getting rid of sales tax on many essential products like hygiene items, diapers, and over-the-counter medicine, lowering costs for all of us.

  • Providing billions of dollars in funding for K-12 Public schools, health care, childcare and early learning, paid family medical leave, and other programs that we rely on.

No Thanks. Millionaires Can Pay Their Own Taxes.
